Ram Lal Anand College was founded in the year 1964 by Late Shri Ram Lal Anand, a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of India. The college, affiliated to the University of Delhi, is located in the picturesque surroundings against the backdrop of Aravali ranges in the neighbourhood of the South campus with colleges such as Sri Venkateswara College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Motilal Nehru College, Jesus and Mary College and Maitreyi College lying within the radius of 1km. It aims to provide educational opportunities at the university level offering varied courses in Arts, Commerce and Science streams.
The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology Development aka Entrepreneurship Cell of Ram Lal Anand College was initiated to introduce a platform for the budding entrepreneurs to build a strong network with professional corporates and skills to take on the business world.
The Entrepreneurship Cell is a cell that is keen to promote entrepreneurship among the young, meritorious prodigies. This centre is aimed to enrich and sharpen the entrepreneurial skills of students who wish to establish and successfully run their own enterprises in future.
It invites and awards novel ideas from students through Ideathons. The centre also funds promising ideas for development.
"We need to be able to identify and support young people who demonstrate interest and aptitude in entrepreneurship and business creation and give them tools to follow their path throughout their educational experience". E-Cell RLAC aims to establish a similar kind of platform for the students to help them recognise the entrepreneurial aptitude within themselves.
The purpose of the E-Cell is three-fold:
• To bring out the entrepreneurial flair in each individual.
• To make the students understand the entrepreneurial attitude and skills.
• To provide them an innovative platform thereby giving them numerous opportunities to work on their entrepreneurial skills.
